Here's a few more pics:

The well house all finished, just needs the door on!

The driveway all graveled!

Around the house, too. It is sooo much nicer, and less messy!

We started sealing the floors. Here's the office all finished. I'm really happy with how they came out! Now we need baseboards and we're good to go!!!

Okay, time for a little catching up! The last few weeks have flown by so quickly!!

Well, we called for the final inspection, but we didn't pass it the first time (we didn't really expect to). We had to finish up a bunch of little things, and a few big ones, like putting in the range hood and drywall under the basement stairs. Just that small project made me SO glad we didn't do all the drywall ourselves!! It would have taken us months! Also, we had some trouble with the range hood because our ceiling is 13 feet tall, and NO ONE makes a cover for anything taller than a 12 foot ceiling. I looked all over the internet and called several different companies. We ordered the 12 foot one and are going to try to order an extra extension for the difference. But it's mostly done, and that was good enough!
We also had the appraiser out to keep us on schedule, and he said we would have to paint all the trim on the outside, finish the countertops, and tile our bathroom to pass the final bank inspection. So we focused on the county inspection first. They came back out last Wednesday and we passed! We had to replace the outlets in the garage with GFI's, but he was nice enough to let us do that and come back in the afternoon to sign off on everything. I drove to Bisbee Thurs morning and turned in all the paperwork, and they mailed us our CO--I got it the next day!

We spent Wed. evening and most of Thursday working on the tile in our shower. We worked until 11:00pm Thurs night until we ran out of tile! We just have a little more to do around the tub, and we're done! Jordanne and Nathaniel helped with painting the trim and got it all done in time! The appraiser came on Friday morning and declared us finished. Then Dan and I drove to Tucson to sign all the final papers! Hooray!!! So now it is officially ours! We were going to move in this past weekend, but we didn't have much time to pack since we worked all week, and I ended up being horribly sick all Saturday night and part of Sunday. Sooooo, the new plan is to move this Friday. I will keep you posted and get more pics up soon! Stay posted for housewarming details!

The kitchen counter all finished! I got one of those new touch faucets!

My beautiful new range!!! It was the first thing we bought for the house! We got the display model for a HUGE discount, and it has been living in storage for a year and a half! Now it's finally home! We have to change it over for propane, so we haven't pushed it back yet--it's REALLY heavy, so once it's in it's staying put!

The basement all finished!

The tile going in our shower. I forgot to take a finished picture! We are just stacking the slate tile together with not grout lines. It came out so nice!

The trim all painted!

Wow, I'm pretty behind again, as usual! So sorry, but not a lot of free time for the computer lately!! Well, we passed the final inspection yesterday! HOORAY!!! I can go pick up the CO in Bisbee today. We are going to try to move in this weekend, but still have to finish tiling our shower for the bank inspection tomorrow and then seal the floors! Still waiting on the bank to schedule the appointment for the closing of the loan. Their server is down so they can't print all the documents. But it should be today or tomorrow, which is kind of a bummer because we have to spend at least 4 precious house hours driving to Tucson and signing papers! I promise I'll get some pics up soon!

A few more pics!

The cabinet in the master bathroom.

This is what our sinks look like. LOVE my faucet!! LOVE my plumber!!

Krystal's room all finished except for the baseboards!

The template for the kitchen counter where the sink goes!

This is where it goes when it's done!

Okay, time to post a few new photos! Things are moving pretty quickly, and we hope to be moving in the next week or two!! The house isn't completely finished, but as long as we pass the final inspection and get our CO, we're good! I need to take more pics, and I'll try to post them soon!

The front of the house. We still have to put rock on the pillars and do the retaining wall, but it sure looks pretty!!!

The girls' shower all finished! The glass doors came out so nice!!

The girls' sink (there are 2 of them) and their countertop. You can see the blue rocks we put in there. Dan did such a good job!

Nathaniel's shower. He can't wait to use it!

The well house all finished!

Okay, thought I'd give a quick update, even though I don't have time to post pics right now. Things are moving along pretty quickly! Dan took the week off, so we are getting lots done!

So, let's see here. . . . . . . we got the basement painted. The shower doors are in for the kids' bathrooms. The concrete is all done for the front porch and the driveway. We got the countertops done in our bathroom and the girls' bathroom (and they came out great!). The well house is finished. The water is on! I have a REAL working toilet (as of yesterday!). The carpet is going in and should be done today. Most of the lights are in and working. All the door frames are painted (YAY!) and the door handles are on. I finished all the touch up paint on the ceilings (FINALLY!).

So, we still have plenty left! But we can move in as soon as we get the final inspection and the CO (certificate of occupancy), and we are really close to that! I'll keep you posted!

The basement. We still need to paint and hook up the outlets.

Finishing up the last section of the roof!!!

All done!! Yay!!!! Soooooo glad to finally have the whole thing done!

The well house; this will also be for Dan to store all his plumbing stuff so it's not in my garage!!
