Okay, good news first. We finished the rebar overhaul today! It wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be, and I'm glad it's over. Now we just have to pray super hard that we pass the re-inspection!!!
Bad news--we had the well drilled this weekend and it didn't go so well. We went down 500 feet and we're only getting 3 gallons/minute. We would like to be getting between 10 and 15 at least. But at $19 a foot, we are way over budget here. We had planned to spend around $6000, and we're at nearly $10,000. Dan says that thankfully we can still make this work, we will just need an extra storage tank and the pump will have to work more to keep up. So we will probably have to put the well on solar to keep the electricity costs down.
So, it's been an up and down weekend! I forgot the camera again, so no new pics. Sorry! I'll try to take some this week!
